I purchased these when they were first released and ended up passing them along to someone else due to the waistband (flipped and twisted). I decided to repurchase since I heard they updated it and they did!!! Now it's great. I'd rec sizing up for a loose lounge fit or sizing down for more form fitting shorty-shorts.
